Present at the first transcontinental phone call from San Francisco to New York
were a variety of dignitaries including Alexander Graham Bell who was there for
the call in New York. U.S. President Woodrow Wilson in Washington, D.C. also celebrated
and took part in the inaugural call, as did AT&T president, Theodore Vail, who was
located in Jekyll Island, Georgia.

Billing increments Each call is measured in basic units called billing increments.
Billing increments are occasionally called “per minute rounding.” Most billing increments
are one minute, although some cards will measure in two- or three-minute increments.
International calling cards may charge in six-minute billing increments, so if you
make a seven-minute call, your card will be rounded up to the next increment and
you will be charged for 12 minutes.

As I understand Verizon’s Unlimited Internet package is for viewing on the Palm screen only. Verizon will not allow you to tether to your laptop unless you pay an additional $15/month for this option. This makes the unlimited internet quite expensive. Don’t see why Verizon feels this cost is justifiablble. It requires nothing of Verizon except a switch that they designed into the system so that this fee could be generated. My eyes and A** are sore over this. I am looking for an alternative for this issue. Post relates to: Treo 700w (Verizon)

You’ll hear information on your current balance on the card. Dial your destination
number It’s just that simple. And keep in mind, each time you use your card, you
are paying significantly less than you would pay for permanent long-distance service.
The beauty of prepaid calling cards is that they essentially provide you with a
portable long-distance service that you can use for national, international or cell
phone calls. You can use your card to talk to family, friends, or business associates
anywhere in the world. Different cards will give you the ability to call different
countries.

Is this PDA capable of wirless connection? In other words, can I use it as a phone, rather than me having to go out and purchase another PDA Phone. It says it is bluetooth capatable and this is a part that says "phone" but I cannot dial out because it has no connection. I just wanted to make sure before I go to Cingular and have them set this up. Any information would be great! Thank you.Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Hi,I have a treo 650 unlocked cingular gsm phone that resets whenever a call accesses the voicemail feature of my cellphone provider. This irritating problem is recent one. I am guessing that my phone software has a conflict with my providers system. My treo is an unlocked gsm phone from cingular. The cingular icon still shows when I start or shutoff the phone. Is it possible for me to update the software using the unlocked gsm phone package not the unlocked gsm cingular phone package? I read somewhere that I should not. I looked at the updates for the unlocked cingular and my phone is up to date. Help pleas.Post relates to: Treo 650 (Cingular)
