Microsoft responds to latest EU charges (AP)

AP - Microsoft responded Monday to European Union allegations that it is overcharging rivals for information that would make their products work better with Windows. The software maker also repeated its request for more guidance on what regulators consider to be an acceptable price.

Smartphone provider question

AT&T in 1984. This company, which essentially had a monopoly on phone service until
it was broken up, was cut down, and “baby bells” were formed as separate phone service
providers cropped up. Many of those former “baby bells” now provide prepaid long
distance phone service.
